Thanks to all of you that came to the First Annual(?) Cook Off on Nov. 21! The chili was plentiful and delicious and Peggy Molander was named the winner with her Spicy Southwestern chili...it was a delicious combination of shredded pork and beef with jalapenos and chipotle chilies! It was a really nice way to spend a cold afternoon...someone, however, did leave a cream colored jacket behind...please let Kim know who you are!

Our first Dining In event will be on Saturday, Dec. 4. Typically, 8 to 10 dinner guests gather at a member's home for dinner where the host provides the entrée and the other diners are assigned a course (appetizer, side dish, salad, dessert, wine, etc.) to compliment the entrée. Each participant should note if they have any food allergies or aversions. The host sets the tone of the evening and provides a formal or casual table setting and everyone has a wonderful time! It is a great way to meet members in a smaller, more intimate group.

Please RSVP to Chip ASAP at dinner@abnewcomers.org and let him know if you are interested in participating and if you have any allergies. If you are willing to host a group at your home, let Chip know how many folks you would be comfortable with at your home...that's it! If we can get a couple of groups going perhaps we can all meet up at one location for coffee and dessert?
